La Palma called for salsa and reggaeton: Lustral Fest gathered 16,000 attendees this weekend

Lustral Fest broke all the attendance records of the musical events of the LXX edition of the Bajada de la Virgen de las Nieves this weekend. The festival, promoted by Sodepal -a public company of the Cabildo de La Palma-, gathered 16,000 attendees (7,000 on the first day and 9,000 on the second) in two days where salsa and reggaeton invaded the central enclosure of the lustral festivities.

If during the first night Nicky Jam got the crowd to sing along to each of his urban rhythms hits, Saturday’s salsa night also exceeded all expectations despite the sold out status already confirmed since the previous days.

The king of the genre gathered 9,000 people ready to dance to the most emblematic songs of the best-selling salsa artist in history, such as ‘Vivir mi vida’, ‘Flor pálida’ or ‘Qué precio tiene el cielo’, in a tour closing that ended on Isla Bonita.

The Canarian talent also managed, from the early hours of the afternoon, to ignite the rhythm of the event, with the mythical K-Narias, the charismatic Nia, the urban-pop of Laura Low and the ‘palmero seal’ of the duo Macaca Radiata and the winner of the Lustral Talent contest, Flavia.

With two nights to remember, Lustral Fest closed in style a weekend that confirms the great response of the public of La Palma to the great musical events.
