They will share the stage with international artists participating in the musical event this weekend.
The Cabildo de La Palma, through its public company Sodepal, announces that Rega and Flavia Cruz are the two artists selected in the contest Lustral Talent La Palma. This contest, designed to recognize and promote the new musical talents of the island, will give them the unique opportunity to perform on the main stage of Lustral Fest 2025, the biggest musical event of the Bajada de la Virgen.
The Lustral Fest 2025, to be held on July 25 and 26 at the central venue, is one of the most anticipated events of the Fiestas Lustrales. This year, Rega and Flavia Cruz will share the bill with great stars of national and international music, such as Marc Anthony, Nicky Jam, Boza or Elena Rose, among many other renowned artists, offering an unparalleled platform for the projection of their talent.
The Lustral Talent La Palma contest, open to artists, bands or DJs residing on the island, was looking for these outstanding proposals. Each candidate had to submit up to two original pieces, with a maximum duration of five minutes per piece. The evaluation criteria included the originality and creativity of the proposal, the musical and technical quality, the capacity of interpretation and staging, as well as the potential for live performance.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, highlights the impulse that has been given again to this talent contest of the Island, which gives the opportunity to emerging artists of the Island to shine on the biggest musical stage of the Fiestas Lustrales 2025.
Rega
Raised in La Palma, Rega discovered his deep connection to music at the age of 14, when he began composing songs from his iPad. Although he excelled academically, going on to study medicine, his true calling has always been music.
In 2025, after years of combining his studies with music creation, Rega made the definitive decision to dedicate himself completely to his passion with a unique proposal. He combines his knowledge of the human brain with the emotion he transmits through art, creating songs that not only sound good, but also seek to generate a positive impact on the listener.
His musical proposal is a fusion of urban pop, electronica and house tints, with structures and patterns designed to activate positive emotions. More than an artist, Rega is an emotional experience, true to his motto ‘Use music to suffer less and enjoy more’.
Flavia Cruz
Flavia Cruz is a talented singer-songwriter from La Palma with a solid career on stage since 2010. It was in 2024 when she released her first unreleased album, ‘Al Cielo’, a work that has become a “cocktail of styles” where soul, blues, boleros, ballads and jazz intertwine harmoniously.
Her powerful voice, combined with deep and emotional lyrics that address issues of great social debate today, such as gender violence, bullying and even war, manages to transform those who listen to her into loyal fans.
